These are indicative preparation schedules. Admissions confirms the timetable after reviewing your readiness. Preparation time does not replace the SSC waiting period for Pakistani equivalence, and completion depends on passing the official tests. Reattempt support is tailored; a new four-month course is not an official GED requirement.

STUDY ABROAD
Intermediate equivalence, with clear conditions
GED can lead to IBCC equivalence to HSSC in the Humanities Group. The equivalence certificate is a separate application; your GED result alone is not the certificate.
Plan for HSSC Humanities equivalence
Complete SSC / Matric or its recognised equivalent and allow at least two years after SSC before taking GED. Obtain the required approved-provider clearance and follow IBCC’s current application and verification rules.
Eligible graduates can then apply to Pakistani universities that accept this route and meet their programme requirements. Humanities equivalence does not establish FSc pre-medical or pre-engineering equivalence.

GED’s Pakistan policy allows an abroad-only pathway without the two-year SSC gap. Students taking that route will not be eligible for an HSSC equivalence certificate for their GED qualification.

GED score levels explained
Pass all four subjects with at least 145 in each. Higher scores can strengthen your academic profile. These are score bands, not different GED courses or separate diplomas.

Prepare online
Choose your preparation pace and work through subject practice and readiness checks.
Confirm approval and book
Use your own GED account and an authorised prep provider to arrange the required approval. Select an available Lahore test-centre appointment in official GED scheduling.
Sit your exams and plan admission
Attend your confirmed centre with the required identification. After passing, use your official results for equivalence and university applications as applicable.
THE QUALIFICATION & RECOGNITION BODIES
Who does what?
GED Testing Service
Responsible for the GED test programme. The international credential is the District of Columbia High School Equivalency Diploma.
Pearson VUE
Provides the computer-based testing delivery platform and authorised centre network for GED examinations.
IBCC Pakistan
Evaluates eligible qualifications for Pakistani equivalence. Its certificate and the receiving institution’s admission decision are separate steps.
Before you start
Is GED an alternative to Intermediate?
Yes, it can be an alternative route for eligible students. For Pakistan, review the HSSC Humanities conditions in the equivalence section before selecting a preparation plan.
Can I finish everything in one month?
The fast-track option is an indicative intensive preparation plan for learners who are already close to exam readiness. It does not promise that you will pass, receive equivalence or gain university admission in one month.
Can I prepare and take the exam from home?
You can prepare online with Val Tech. This programme plans for in-person official exams at an authorised centre in Lahore, subject to appointment availability.
What is the minimum age?
The standard Pakistan testing route is for ages 18 and above. Under-18 candidates should check the official age-waiver requirements before enrolling or booking.
What if I need another attempt?
Use your score report to identify gaps and ask about selected-subject support. Retakes follow the official Pakistan testing policy, including any applicable waiting period.
Do I need an English language test for university?
GED subjects are taken in English in Pakistan, but this does not automatically replace a university’s English proficiency requirement. Check the admission rules for your intended programme.
