A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you get started.

Is this the same as the Duolingo language-learning app?

The Duolingo English Test is a separate English proficiency assessment with certified results. Completing lessons in the language-learning app does not produce a DET certificate.

Do I need a test-centre appointment in Lahore?

The DET is taken online on demand from a suitable private space. You do not book a Lahore test-centre appointment through this enquiry. Val Tech can guide you on preparation, registration and test readiness.

What score should I aim for?

Use the score required by your chosen programme. Requirements can include individual skill scores as well as the overall result. There is no single admission score for every programme.

Does sending this form register me for the test?

This form requests support from Val Tech admissions. Complete official registration through your own Duolingo English Test account. Keep your account credentials private.

Plan your Duolingo English Test

Tell us the support you need and when you hope to be ready. Admissions will contact you about your next steps. This enquiry does not register you for the official test.

Choose a day you would like to be ready. The official test is available on demand; this is a planning preference.

Use your programme’s required score, from 10 to 160 in steps of 5. Leave blank if you need guidance.
