Chain of infection, standard precautions, hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, environmental cleaning concepts and transmission awareness.
Practical work: Demonstrate correct hand-hygiene workflow and identify risks in scenarios.
02PPE, Waste & Environmental Safety
PPE concepts, donning/doffing demonstration, sharps/waste awareness, cleaning zones, linen and exposure-response awareness.
Practical work: Complete supervised PPE and environmental safety stations.
03Patient Safety & Communication
Identification, fall-risk awareness, safe handoffs, incident reporting, respectful communication and escalation.
Practical work: Analyse patient-safety scenarios and write incident/escalation notes.
04Safety Capstone
Clinic/hospital support checklist, audit basics, safety culture, emergency awareness and continuous improvement.
Practical work: Conduct a simulated safety walk-through and present corrective actions.
